Area Maintenance Manager

Job Description Responsible for coordinating and supervising the work of employees in the maintenance department and upkeep of buildings, grounds, and equipment.

line speed, controlling downtime, electrical, plumbing, mechanical, and related systems.
Assigns Superintendents the work for technical employees and other duties as required throughout the process.
2nd ShiftDuties/Activities Required by Job Manages and directs the superintendents to send equipment and personnel from one project assignment to another as necessary.
Coordinates or installs, inspects repairs and maintains the electrical, plumbing, mechanical and other related systems within the production area to ensure proper maintenance is performed Supervise installation, inspections; repairs and maintains mechanical, electrical, plumbing and other related production systems of plant.
Updates inventory and ensures all needed materials are available.
Directs and manages Superintendents, encourages training to increase competency and commitment.
Has the ability to meet and deal tactfully and courteously with fellow employees and vendors/contractors.
Ensures adequate staffing is maintained.
Reports on maintenance/repairs installation, inspections, repairs.
Communicates and enforces knowledge of the occupational hazards and corresponding safety precautions necessary for the safe performance of assigned duties.
Enforces Goal Zero throughout the facility.
Educations/Experience Requirements Bachelor's degree in a relevant Maintenance field desired.
Technical degree/training and/or relevant certifications in Electrical (Master's) and/or Refrigerations (RETA level 4) and/or CIRO (Certified Industrial Refrigeration Operator) or relevant experience 5 plus years demonstrated utility management experience in a manufacturing environment, must include successful track record managing a shift or operations with progression in size and scope, experience will be considered in lieu of degree, previous poultry experience preferred, previous manufacturing management experience required if no poultry.
Able to maintain and repair all production facility equipment in a manner that minimizes downtime.
Is very knowledgeable in first processing operations receiving thru evisceration.
Understands accountability and is performance driven.
