4 Selbyville, DE Selbyville, DE Seasonal Seasonal $25 - $30 an hour $25 - $30 an hour Purpose of the Job The Production Manager is responsible for the overall management of the production operations at Freeman Arts Pavilion, including all backstage operations, stage management and hospitality services related to each performance.
Anticipated Work Schedule This position works a flexible schedule from February to October.
Hours are event driven, requiring a combination of days, nights, weekends, and holidays.
This will include late nights depending on the performance.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities Knowledgeable about Freeman Arts Pavilion, its programs, venue policies and safety plan and be able to communicate such information in a courteous manner to patrons of Freeman Arts Pavilion.
Execute policies & procedures in accordance with Standards for Excellence accreditation and organizational best practices.
Understand and adhere to the policies and information outlined in the Seasonal Employee Handbook.
Manage the overall production budget and individual performance budgets to support financial goals of the organization.
Manage hospitality and production staff to include hiring, supervision, training and coaching, scheduling, implementing human resources and company policies and procedures related to staffing.
Process, track and reconcile all production department accounts payable, contractors and seasonal employee payroll.
Provide reporting for budget and artist statistics.
Coordinates sound, light, video and stage labor vendors to ensure successful events that are executed within budget.
Create and execute annual Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with vendor partners.
Act as liaison between JMFF and artist management to negotiate all artistic and technical advancement discussions, including sound, light and video requirements, hospitality, transportation and security needs, arrival times and schedules for all performances.
Maintain system of advancement details, including communication and schedules and creat and distribute internally Day Sheets Organize and maintain all performance details in the Production folder on the JMFF Sharepoint system.
Ensure compliance with all union rules, as well as health and safety standards.
Oversee management, inventory and maintenance of all audio, lighting and production equipment.
Coordinate and communicate credentials for back of house access for each performance.
Possess intimate knowledge of the JMFF Emergency Operations Plan and communicate emergency procedures to employees, volunteers, vendors, and local/touring crews.
General maintenance of the backstage facilities through either the execution of small repairs or reporting issues to the Facilities Manager.
Maintain a safe workplace environment in compliance with OSHA, ADA, and Building Fire Codes.
Qualifications Employees (Applicants) must be 21 or older.
Able to deliver the highest level of customer service according to the policies and procedures and customer service standards set by the Joshua M.
Freeman Foundation.
Minimum of three years' experience as a Production Manager, Technical Director, Crew Chief, or lead member of a Production Management team.
Knowledge of common industry-specific software such as CAD programs, Lightwright, Qlab or Isadora, and experience reading ground plans, light plots, and other theatrical specifications.
A good work ethic and the ability to work without close supervision is paramount.
Possess strong organizational, communication, interpersonal and analytical skills with attention to detail/problem solving skills.
Ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
Ability to make clear concise decisions, sometimes with limited information.
Possess a positive outlook and the ability to engage others.
Possess strong communication skills.
Able to train and manage seasonal employees.
Experience in cash handling and keeping accurate financial records is required.
Computer proficiency in Windows applications (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint) Able to safeguard confidential information.
Able to establish and maintain an effective working relationship with the public, other employees, and volunteers.
Position requires constant physical activity such as walking, climbing stairs, lifting and carrying equipment.
Able to lift up to 50 pounds.
Requirements Must have a valid US driver's license.
Must possess or obtain CPR certification.
Must successfully complete all required employment forms.

Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
